Rule of thumb I've always gone by. Keep your focal length equal or greater than shutter speed. So example. 50mm lens. 1/50th s shutter speed minimum handheld.

The car looks great man. I agree with Derek, and I will say to lose the roof rack. Contrary to popular belief, Volkswagens where not meant to come with roofracks from the factory. Other than that, your car is very clean!
