Re: Allons-y (mkVI TDI) Progression Thread

I know i'm going to sound like the HID nazi here but a few questions, are these halogen or HID projectors? And why did you choose 6000k? There is definitely quite a bit of lumen loss going down from 4300k, but then again more than your stock halogens.

HID Projectors I aimed them properly too as nobody flashed me on the highway at night.

I have never actually run 4300k bulbs so I'll have to try it when these bulbs go out but I just like the whiteness of the 6000k compared to the other bulb outputs. It has a tinge of blue but nothing overbearing and it doesn't look yellow, which IMO looks pretty similar to the stock halogen housings.

Nobody flashed people anymore for HIDs, too much effort. Just make sure you follow the 2" drop for every 25' rule and you should be golden 99% of the time. Measure to the middle of your headlights, park 25' away from the wall on a completely flat surface, and make sure your headlights on the wall are 2" lower than the center of your projector lenses.

4300 are great for light output, some people try to argue that the 6000/8000k put out more useable light against snow/rain etc but they honestly don't. Either way you should try some 4300k's and see how you like them, or even 5000's give off a white with no blue and put out some better light than the 6000's do. I have a set of 4300k D2S if you want to try em out?

Washed, Waxed, and Polished her the other day. Figured since it was still light out and there was no chance of rain I might as well snap a few better pics too.

Next up is the dash cubby, and to get a quote from a body shop on how much filling the notch will be.
