I get between 525-550 kms consistently in the city. 600-650 on the highways. Not sure why people are getting such horrible fuel economy here??

Sean, my grandmother puts her foot down more than you do. She doesn't even have a drivers licence.

Thanks Colin for believing in me haha.

George, I got over 700kms from a tank earlier this spring/summer on the way out to my cabin. Not a tdi but the best I have seen for a 1.8t in a while

But a lot of it has to do with your alignment and driving habits. I accelerate moderately from lights, never lag behind but don't usually take off like a bat out of hell unless I have to get around somebody beside me. And also I find that my unitronic stg 1+ gives me better fuel economy than stock.

After owning my .:R for over 2 years, I still couldnt give 2 shits about my fuel economy. I bought the car fully aware of how I plan to drive it EVERYTIME I get behind the wheel. I'm more than happy with my 400-450kms per tank

wow you guys are lucky. I can't keep my foot off the gas to hear the VR...lets just say im lucky to get 380 on a tank... (mind you my commute to school is stop and go/ playground zones the whole way, not exactly best for mileage) Highway is much better though.

My VR got between 400-600km to a tank. Although I think the Unitronic chip improved fuel economy a bit, I'd never get more than 450 before.

How big are MK4 fuel tanks? 55 liters?

Nice ride, too bad the thirsty S4 was cost prohibitive... but it's always better to be happy.

I "downgraded" as well from my last car and couldn't be happier!

My vote is to do a Frankenturbo and don't skimp on the meth. The results are proven and it's not all that costly to install and upkeep.
