well i think it was pretty bad because i fried a relay pretty good, i beleive that was due to a short near the relay. . there was alot less stress on the system after tj did it correctly. We also re did some grounds and that helped too. But im not entirely sure what is wrong with the compressors. when they were on they would run Extremely hot, and struggle to fill the tank.

thanks fizzo, ill let you know if i need anything.

Which relay was fried? I should have taken a good look at the wiring when i was there sunday, my bad. I also forgot to put wire sizes on my diagram...

The one coming controlling the left compressor. But a new relay is in with fixed soldering so it's working now.

Was that the cheap princess auto 5 pin relay? I know I pulled the other one and put the viair relay in it's place.

Yeah it was the cheap one that broke.

one viar and one cheap one. contacts burnt from trying to pull ~150a of current through them.

the motor in one compressor had an internal short when it was hot and the other compressor wasn't making any pressure.

Sucks that you bought a faulty compressor. If you can't rebuild the compressors i would try going with an air zenith compressor

Check valve for sure. Viair check valves fail all the time. Also, why would they be pulling 150a of current? Those compressors run at like 35 amps each.

Internal short in the motor from running too hot, probably caused by a stuck check valve, pressure builds up, head gets hot, motor gets hot, seizes, draws a fuk load of amps

So do you guys think there is anyway to rebuild these Compressors? Or would it not be worth my time or money?

You can rebuild them, if the motor is gone though, probably better to buy a new compressor. The 400c dual packs aren't too expensive. If you want to buy locally, I think KMS tools carries viair stuff.

i think if im going to buy a new set, i might get better compressors. probably worth it in the long run

I told you right off the bat, check the check valves.

Check valves were not the problem...

Anyways, we took the head off the one with the crappy motor and put it on the one with the good motor. So i have one good compressor. The exhaust plate was broken on one of Em.
