        Re: Couple of my cars

Found a woodgrain dash bezel with original radio and two oem turbo diesel badges for a grand total of $15 + a stock 1.8t intake manifold. I'll likely wire a good stereo into the glove box

          Re: Couple of my cars

Regardless of the weather in red deer today, summer is coming so Im starting to work on the cars again.
Sandblasted and powdercoated the original control arms and put in some poly bushings and new ball joints
          Also have full tie rods
Poly steering rack bushings and boots
          Strut mounts
          Coilovers and drop plates
Sandblasted and powdercoated fan shroud and refurbished flaps

          For the mk4:
Also powdercoated control arms and poly bushings still to go in
          New full tie rods
Ordering a vnt17 and 3" turbo back straight pipe next week

Don't do poly bushings in the rear position, it will squeek like crazy and wear out quite fast. OEM are the best if you are slammed, R32 are the best if you are not.

              Re: Couple of my cars

I've heard mixed reviews about the poly bushings for mk4 but I ended up just buying the poly stuff because it was easier to get. Chris puts the poly stuff in customer cars with no problems but if they don't end up working they're not hard to change

Turbo came in. Went with the vnt 17/22 hybrid rather than the 17. It only ended up being $300 more so why not. 3" exhaust is on order.

dude you need a new source for your info . We use poly bushings on every mk4 that we do here at the shop . on daily driven cars . and we never get a squeek . we have probably installed like 30 sets . not one squeek .

My old poly bushings squeaked bad, over every bump almost. If you use the graphite impregnated poly bushings that is a completely different story. However my set still wore out in less than 20,000kms of driving low, the inner holes were ovalled and there was a slight bend to them when i took my control arms out
