Anyway here's my gti. Ive had it for 3 years now and its stock apart from kw's and a tune. 90000km



And I know you all know Elmer. I bought him from chris this last summer. I put the quad in for fun to see if it would fit:


And going into it for this next summer is this:

is it a hydraulic head or a mechanical head? Sounds like a solid build. What kinda exhaust is it running? I'm a little jealous, iv always wanted a built diesel truck. Keep up the progress.

It's a hydro engine. I'm gonna build a 2.5 or 3" downpipe then straight pipe it to the back in the same size. Ya it should be fun thanks!

Well I did a little bit this last weekend until I realized I lost a few of my bolts so I have to go get new ones again then I can get it timed up and put into Elmer within the next couple months hopefully because I'm slow and I play on a travelling hockey team. Anyway...


And because I am proud of this piece... Overboost pop off valve welded over...

well hockey has been keeping me busy so not much has been getting done engine wise but ive been collecting some stuff.
Not sure how many of you know fud.. well I found him in Washington for Chris and it took a 6 speed 1.8t ultrasport avant for me to get it from him ha.
So Elmer is sold to my brother and fud is now mine. I'll get a better picture later

picked up a real nice set of manual recaros too...

and for shits and giggles.. 18 bottles of coors original for $13

Well a lot of stressing and a very stupid mistake later it's running and driving like a champ and everything is together. Just need to fix the shift linkage. that's it till next year when I actually want to touch it again

Engine:

1991 1.6td engine painted CAT yellow
Rebuilt fn 020, rebuilt ach for backup
Gm synchromesh trans fluid and a super lubricant biff sells
Rebuilt head. New valves, guides, lifters etc..
Rebuilt block. Rings, bearings throughout, resurfaced crank,
ARP rod bolts, ARP main studs, ARP head studs
G60 valve cover and gasket
1.9 AAZ headgasket
Governor mod on injection pump
ALH valve cover breather with AAZ breather hose(goes around vw emblem perfect)
Pop off valve delete
Recently rebuilt k24 turbo
Rebuilt axles
1.9AAZ flywheel
210mm 16v pressure plate and 8v disc
New turbo diesel oil pan
New Windage tray
New gaskets and seals throughout
New glow plugs
Rebuilt injectors, new nozzles

Soon to come:
Intercooler
Increase fuel and boost
Aftermarket tach
EGT, boost and oil pressure gauges
