Oil pan heater installed for the winter here, battery was having trouble on those cold cold days. On my hybrid pan too
To do list:
- install my old wolfsburg steering wheel
- swap center consoles
- piece together a perfect front grille from 2 grilles i have
- install radio
- install gauge panel with boost gauge, voltmeter and find other gauge to install there
- Put in stock battery from the old wolfburg
- paint keylock delete panel and install
- keyfob range extender mod
- rewrap door cards because some are sagging :(
- change out valvecover gasket
- buy and swap out turbo :(
Swapped out my turbo last week with help from Martin, went pretty smoothly, running strong now.....especially with my old unitronic ECU back too
Started my airride build version 2, got the compressor frame and 3 gallon tank assembly designed and made and bolted up
Haven't worked on the airride as much as i should have, been too busy with work and staying warm and inside.
Update on the to do list
- Painted key blank is coming in this week so it will be done this weekend
- New front grille is done, and it has all of the pins unlike the last one (2/4 sheared off)
- Serge is letting me take the seat heating elements from his car in his partout so i will be retrofitting them into the recaro's soon
- Getting a custom made GLI hood bra from James' friend on dubberz.com
- Radio installed, boost gauge installed, voltmeter installed, just need to do tank pressure now
- Still need to get around to installing the new steering wheel and swapping out my battery to my OEM one, but will do that when my new HID bulbs come in
- Ordered 50 sqft of dynamat knock off today, got it for $170 shipped compared to 36ft for $275 for the dynamat stuff and this has the same loss factors
You need to make some VW styled fan covers for those pumps then you will be bling'n.
