Can't really use cruise control as all my driving is literally stop and go, city driving. That probably explains my shitty mileage. Having said that, I just got back from a trip to Vernon/Kelowna for christmas and averaged 10.8L/100 km's. Not too bad on the highway I guess!

I use my cruise control in the city which is also stop and go on the way to work and back. And I average almost what you average on the highway =P. just use it whenever as much as you can. Doesn't hurt to try haha

Cruise control is good if you are on even pavement but to be honest you can compensate more efficiently on hills. The cruise control PID controller has no way of predicting the future road conditions (very well) so it has to over compensate after the fact once you start slowing down halfway up the hill. If you slowly increase your throttle response at the bottom of a hill you will actually save fuel over cruise control...
