i like it... but... please tell me you have now properly installed the stereo...
What do you mean by properly installed the stereo? Is there an un-proper way? lol. I have had it this way from day 4 when i got the car and its most likely going to stay this way unless i am changing out an amp or something. This is how the head unit is installed:
And this is how i placed the amps:
as for the system... you need to put some work into it and clean it up. make a nice amp rack, hide the wires, get a fused distro block for the power don't use a solid distro!!!!! and it'll be good. none of that skrew it to the floor gagh!
not being a dick, your car looks good on the outside... time to clean it up on the inside.
mine still needs work too, have to clean the wires up for the amps and make a trim.
if you have any questions I might be able to help, professionally installed for over 4 years.

Yeah i understand what you mean. I am still not 100% sure if i am keeping both subs/amps, if i am swapping one out, if i am getting upgraded speakers and an amp so i will probably wait until i get that figured out. The 12" is coming out for the winter as well as the amp because i don't have a need for it over the winter.
But yeah come summer time i would love to get together and get advice on what would be the best for the equipment that i have. Thanks for the offer

It was getting very stupidly cold outside so i decided to install a zerostart coolant heater in my Jetta 1.8t with an auto/tiptronic transmission. I wasn't able to find anyone who had done it before so there was a few hitches including thinking that irrigation parts would hold up to the heat of the turbo etc but all in all it works very well once everything was set up.
IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS AND HAVE QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW AND I CAN HELP YOU OUT
Heats up the coolant to 45 Celsius in the mornings no matter the temperature outside and starts like a dream. No SAI squeeling or transmission sludgyness in the cold on first start up.
The irrigation part that should have been a heater hose part. Ooooops :P

As i am sure many of you are aware of my oilpan dilemma so ill keep this one short. Deerfoot....ice boulders....launched off of the first one and landed directly on the second one....oil pan held oil til i got home (fortunately)...yayyy for skidplate....skidplate getting a nice present from me (1/2" more material for its next encounter)

PROJECTOR PROJECT
It is finally wrapped up. Using:
Acura TL 3" Projectors (the biggest f***ing projectors out there)
50W Ballasts
50W 4300K & 6000K Bulbs (just to see which i like better and have a spare set incase something happens)
E55 Shrouds
Lots and lots of customization. The goal of the project was to retrofit something hard and have the ability to completely disassemble it without having to use a dremel and cutting chunks out. Accomplished with bolts, silicone and some ingenuity
AGAIN IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING SIMILAR AND HAVE QUESTIONS IM UP TO ANSWERING SOME QUESTIONS. Extremely few people have retrofitted TL projectors into a mk4 Jetta so I want to keep some of it a mystery so that every kid on the block doesn't have them.

Hey Colin, actually planning on going up to red deer sometime within the next 3 weeks, things got postponed while we waited for parts from australia.
UPDATE:
I will let the pictures do the talking. Still have a few things to do such as install a 200A alternator and get the stereo wired in and build the false floor and put the trim and dash back together but here is what i got:
