well what a trip. just got home yesturday from kelowna and i had some issues with the car out there. it wouldn't start which ended up being the shifter not being fully engaged so the car wouldnt start. well i get home and bam the car spudders and dies, try to start it again, same issue. cheched to see if i had any fuel coming out of my lines to the injectors, nothing. fingers crossed its a relay otherwise i may be installing a new fuel pump
huge thanks to eldo for coming by with his vag-com. so here are the codes pulled:
17072 - power supply relay j271, load circuit open
17633 - cylinder 1 - fuel injector circuit, short to ground
17634 - cylinder 2 - fuel injector circuit, short to ground
17635 - cylinder 3 - fuel injector circuit, short to ground
17833 - tank vent, valve short to ground
17955 - wastegate bypass regulator valve n75 short to ground (GND)
17525 - bank 1 sensor 2, heating short to ground
17843 - secondary air injection (AIR) pump relay -J299- short to ground(GND)
17829 - secondary air injection valve N112 short to ground (GND)
17697 - recirculating valve for turbocharger n249 short to ground (GND)
17949 - Fuel pump relay -J17- open circuit
so its looking like i am having an issue with some sort of short. hopefully its just the main relay and not a ecm. fingers crossed
So shot some photo's since I was sick. I need a new camera, this point and shoot it always out of focus...
debating about keeping the wheels. I am ordering the new FK streetline coilovers for my car and lowering it and than deciding if I should just add spacers or go aggressive with 18x9 +25 and 18x10 +20. Also want the trunk lip spoiler and a TT antenna.
Update on this horrible stance, thought I could pull off these springs but its not looking very promising. Removed the rubber spring perches late last year and it looks great till I test fitted a summer today at work. Honestly I thought it wouldn't be as bad as before but it still is going to be massively racked.
thanks guys. ended up deciding to ditch the angel eye idea and order some euro specs. I'm going to try and buff them out for next weekend as much as I can
