    Re: old blue build thread.

Also, I put the front end back together today. I cleaned out the intercooler, as well as the air filter. Thinking about doing some system deletes while I am working on it. I'm ecstatic to drive it again, I really believe its going to run better and feel better to drive because of the upgrades.

Looks good so far. How much was the braided clutch line?
On an aside I wouldn't recommend putting jack stands in the same place on the front again. Those frame rails are not really meant to carry the cars weight and I believe the brake and fuel lines run through them so the last thing you want is them collapsing and pinching a line.

Braided clutch line wasn't that expensive, check out uspmotorsports.com for pricing. I think it was like 80$?

Thanks for the info on the frame rails, I wasn't aware of that. However my pinch welds on one side got bent inwards and has become next to unusable; I made sure to be gentle when letting the car down onto them as I was unsure of the stability. Where would you suggest placing the fronts?

Personally I use these to lift with (my rails don't like the weight either) http://www.idparts.com/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1104
Then I usually place a stand under each sub frame corner.

The car drives! I manned up and worked in the rain, and finished her up. All thats left to do is build the trunk setup for the compressors and tank, run the air lines, then throw the bags on!

I will give a little bit of a review on the mounts, lines and brakes later. I'm about to go bed them in.

Got the brakes bedded in tonight, and man was it an upgrade. The ceramic pads with oem blanks and braided lines front and rear is a great combination. Good pedal feel, and much better stopping than stock. Great for a street setup.

The clutch line made a nice difference as well. Engagement is much more crisp than before, with a more defined grip point. If that makes sense, i'm just an average driver, and don't know technical terms.

The mounts didn't make the car vibrate much more than stock. Its noticeable since I did all three mounts, but bearable. Transfer of power to the ground is much better than stock, torque steer is significantly decreased, and next to no engine slop. Shift pattern is much more defined and solid, no more second gear grind!

These are a couple upgrades I would definitely recommend to make your car feel nicer to drive, and perform better.
