  • old blue build thread.

Finally sold my bike, so I went on a credit card spree.

The car is my 2001 4dr 1.8t. It has some basic stuff done, but nothing extensive. The plans have already been put in action, all the parts have been ordered.. just a matter of waiting and installing.

    Parts on the way are:

    Bag over coil setup.
New coils for the bag setup (fk streetlines).
    Whiteline front sway.
Brembo blanks all around with ceramic pads.
Stainless braided brake lines all around.
    Braided clutch line.
All three stage 1 bfi mounts.
    Some semi-baller wheels.

Parts to order when I have the money:
20th front and rear valences to match my skirts.
    Front mount.
    Double din dvd.
    Seats and some interior changes.
    Roof racks.
    Short shifter.
    Skid plate.
    TIP.

I'll be buying more parts as time goes on, but for now thats all. There will be some general little things thrown in there too probably.

Finally got my cam, so a decent picture of the steezy steelie stance with old coils that don't go low enough. This is how it sits as of now. The coils are bottomed out, my old mk3 was much lower, so i'm going to fix that problem.

I hope to have it done in time for at least a couple shows this season.

Things are starting to show up! Found a package on my door with full BFI stage 1 mounts, as well as another package with my brembo blanks and ceramic pads. As soon as I find a decent jack, and a couple other tools that I need these will be on!

Wheels are ordered and are in the process of being re-drilled. I should see them in a week or two. Everything else I have to run down to the states to get.. but it has all been shipped and will be there when I go down to pick it up.

Thanks for those torque specs dude. As I said before make a trip down here, bring some beer, you can have my front rotors.

Also, painting my 20th skirts and putting them on today if the wind calms down!

                Re: old blue build thread.

Just got told I can snag the tools I need from a friend. Picking up a d40x tomorrow, and if it stops raining anytime soon I could actually get something done.

I don't have any actual pictures of the wheels yet, and they took them off the website. Bummer.

Well I got my camera, and all i've been doing is playing with it. I'm gonna put a couple up here, because I like how they came out.

Anyways, wheels will be here Monday so I can start work on them. I'm finally actually grabbing a floor jack so I can get started. Also, i'm going to the fabric store tomorrow to pick out a material to start doing some interior bits with. Hopefully i'll update tomorrow with pictures.

That's the nicest paint I've seen in that colour. Either you're a whiz at detailing, or you've kept your car in incredible condition. Maybe do that headlight restore on your lenses, they are well behind the paint from what I can tell in the pictures. Looking forward to the progress
