That first pic is boss! Noob question, is HDR just a setting on the camera, or is there some complex wizard **** that goes on?

kinda.. you set the camera to take pictures in different exposures.. so one is very light one normalish and one dark (well my cannon does it this way)

then you use photoshop or photomatrix to compile them together..

you need a tripod or a very steady arm to do them properly

but i did HDR shots of asia and they LOOK AMAZING
