yea it's 2.slow. I put the front plate whenever I feel like, but it's not there all the time. No reason to remove the rear license plate cover. I like it.

Sometimes I go to the 8th st. car wash, but today I washed her at home.

        Thanks guys.

Aside from the ~70 dollar ticket, and reason for a bored cop to pull you over? They don't block photo radar either.

I've checked with a few police officers RCMP and CPS and they tolled me that these plate covers are fine. I've been pulled over two times for speeding and both times a cop threaten to give me a ticket for the cover, but after a brief conversation everything was fine. And the cover isn't meant to block any radars. It's strictly a visual mod.

It's all personal choice. Some people like it, some hate it. I know how that is, but it's all good ... the same goes for the euro plate. Nice thing about all these things is that they're easily adjustable.

I haven't done any engine mods and don't plan to. I'm okay with 2.slow, for now (for cruising). I may get a Corado soon with a bit more power (vr6).

I've seen these euro plates on a few cars too. Liked it, so I decided to make my own. It's not an actual plate, but I have 5/6 different versions which I can change from time to time.

I don't have it on all the time. Only when I feel like it.

i'm really jealous of how good your paint is! My car is black as well and its got TONNESS of swirl marks and scratches but yours seems really really clean!

And like I said again, really diggin' the black on black, nice wheels too!

I have gotten a ticket once upon a time for a clear plate cover.

Thanks. I have a LOT of rock chips, scratches, and swirls (from those damn car wash brushes) too. You can't see them easily in those photos, but they're there. I have a friend in Red Deer that's gonna take care of all that this summer so it'll look real shiny.

A ticket for a clear plate cover?! Damn. That's not right. Just yesterday I parked in front of the Tim Hortons (here in Airdrie: East Lake), and a cop pulls up right next to me, looking around the car. Then he explained how he caught someone with a home made plate reflector and he just wanted to make sure that I don't have that. I spent about 10 min just talking to him (as I'm studying crim. Justice) and he tolled me that the plate covers that I have are fine. Even if do get a ticket, I'm suing wal-mart for selling an illegal item without proper notification.

Yea..it's def. not the fastest thing out there , but it's nice for cruising around. Your friend should lower his car for sure. If he doesn't like, then he can always go back to stock height.

The plate cover is up to the officers discretion. If you read the traffice act, any cover over a plate is illegal.

Yes anything over a plate is illegal, technically your plate even being dirty could be an issue. Anyway the day in question (many years ago now) this particular officer basically wrote me up for everything he could possibly find (4 tickets total I think it was, originally stopped for tint) and kept me in a parking lot with his lights on for nearly an hour, I was very happy that was for sure.
