  • My mk4 jetta/new rims

a list of over 15 mods done, some small, some big. Installing intercooler tommo along with boost gauge.
Drilled and slotted rotors and being lower are next on the list. Not a fan of the gap. or tiny rotors behind the rims. They are the 20s i posted in another thread about.
Special thanks to Bert and Jacks Auto Shop for keeping me on the road.

Suspension should be next before brakes. And just beware there's a very good reason for the front rotors being proportionately larger than the rears. What offset are you running up front??

Way too big for my taste. No way you'll be able to get a proper stance with that size of wheel!

I run 20's for the summer to.
They look awsome, but the ride quality os crap. Hindsight, I would have went with 18's.

for everyone saying they are to big, consider how much i ended up getting them for...with proof of purchase on his behalf...
              brand new rubber,
$540 rims rubber and 8mm spacers (alluminum) and had to pay $60 for a set of longer lugs

Looking at his fender, his total wheel diameter looks to be 25, same as any normal combo. It LOOKS too big though. But I think 19s are huge on mk4. :P

What offset are the wheels though? I'm betting your fronts with spacers are almost negative which is going to kill your wheel bearings like you can't imagine.

I'd rather pay a little more for a wheel that looks good and contributes to the overall look of the car, than settle on a wheel because "I got it for a good price"

                      they do look big
maybe if you lower the car you might be able to pull it off
                      suspension should be done asap!

They look good but I agree with the wheel bearing comment, you will end up paying for it somewhere down the line.

                          Re: My mk4 jetta/new rims

I purchased them because i liked them. I had no idea on the price when i went to view. and when i was able to get them down to that much it was a bonus. Ive had a ton of compliments in the past few days so im not to worried. I know it needs to be lowered. Will be done asap.
As for wheel bearings and that stuff.....Paul enjoys doing them anyways and there cheap.

Are you going to be able to lower it with 20"?
I have 19' and I don't have any issue with lowering it.

yea it shouldnt be a problem. You need to keep in mind how low profile the tire is. there nearly the same as my 15" stock rims i had on before (radius)
