  • I've been on clubveedub too much!

hey guys, sean here, I am the very proud owner of 2 volkswagens. A 1983 volkswagen rabbit gti was my first car. It was pretty fast but ones addiction for speed is never ending so... she's sitting in my backyard with the engine ripped out. I don't know if this swap has ever been done before but sitting in my shed on an engine stand is a 2.5l bottom end with a 2.2 head with a garrett t3/t4 turbo. now for the part that most volkswagen owners frown upon :( it's a dodge engine. My excuses dodge and volkswagen actually worked together did you know some dodges came with a volkswagen 1.8 bottom end? anyways big horsepower and tons of torque in a car that weighs ohh 750kg will rip!!
now for my as of two weeks ago daily driver. It's a 2003 1.8t gti with heated leather recaros, 17" longbeach rims, ohh and of course it's black
see what you guys think oh and yeah it seems like everybody that is cool is on these forums so I quit clubveedub haha

oh and I had too add a pic of myself I mean who else can lift an engine and tranny on there shoulders! haha

I voted chip. Welcome to the boards, GTI is looking good.

What car is the 2.5 bottom end from? I'm familiar with the 2.2, I've driven a 83 (or 86?) Turismo and a 90 something new yorker with the 2.2 turbo, they were QUICK!

        I guess you're doing standalone?

        Oh yea, and rabbits rule.

            None of the above!

Suspension is the weakest part of the MK4 and the sole reason it got such bad standings in the mags. Chip isn't as dramatic as it is on the pre-02s. Get suspension, then chip, then exhaust.

A good buddy of mine has a Dodge 2.2 with a Neon cylinder head grafted on and the turbo from a Caterpillar 10l diesel.

In a 3000-ish pound daytona he pulled 10's the last time he was at the track and made close to 700 at the wheels before the cylinder head lifted and.. well.. bad things happened.

Please take normal looking pictures before attempting to be a photographer, my heads hurts looking at them haha.

Besides that, nice car...suspension, chip, wheels!

I'm sure he just doesn't realize they are not recaros. I'd be very surprised if they were.
