Is it bad that I kinda like that R8-lookalike kit?

Yes, I'm afraid that is bad.

Would anyone put a Carrera GT bodykit on a Cayman? I didn't think so.

hey bill what is the HP on the 3.2 now? still 250HP? or is it 268 now? probably is much faster than your old 1.8t hey

just looking at audi.ca says the seats have alcantara? my s4 do but i have full leather so the alcantara is where the cloth on normal seats is

The 3.2 is still 250hp, although it has apparently been tweaked to provide better torque at lower rpm's. I have not seen any production 3.2 that puts out 268. I'm sure it is much faster than the 1.8t, although I have yet to try. 0-60 time for my car is around 5.5 seconds (depends what/who you read).

The alcantara seats are on the base model. I got the enhanced leather interior package, so there isn't any alcantera in my car... it's all Fine Napa Leather.

              Pretty sure its still 250hp @6300, 236lb/ft @2500, max.

S'okay but BMW gets 333hp from their NA 3.2L :( What gives?

Ah, sorry... I mean any VAG 3.2 that gets 250hp. Lots of others do. I agree that 250 is a little on the low side, but whattaya do? I am not the type to discredit a car because it has a few less HP than a competitor. To me, horsepower wars are like megapixel wars (cameras). Sure, in the right circumstances, more is better. But more does not necessitate better. All of the other factors play into the decision. I am sure Audi will put more power into the TT within 1 or 2 model years.

As per Audi's web site, power for the 3.2 in the TT is:

Max Output 250 hp @6,300 rpm
                Torque 236 lb-ft @2,500-3,000 rpm

Yeah im with bill here, the cayman is what? 295 with a NA 3.2? but you cant even compare the interiors of the 2 cars..TT is dead ass sexy where as the cayman interior feels cheap for a ~90,000 car (granted, things like the seats in the porsche are fantastic, but there is alot of plastic and the stereo is absolute garbage...although that may be due to me holding steady at like 5k RPMs in a mid-engine car haha)

But yeah, i dont think Kor is saying more is better either...just that audi/vw are really starting to get behind on numbers, and regardless of whether its a better product or not, they WILL start losing market share unless they get in line with the other brands

I agree completely. There is already talk of a TT-S coming out soon. Thoughts on engines include the 265hp 2.0TFSI from the S3, a 5 cylinder turbo engine coming in around 280hp, a tweaked 3.2 or maybe even the 3.6 (although there seems to be disagreement of whether this is possible in a transverse layout). It seems pretty definite that the 2.0TFSI of the base model will be bumped to 230hp like the 30th anniversary GTI.

Edit: and if I really needed power right now, I could spring for one of these kits!

The base Cayman interior I agree is kinda not that great, but actually if you option it heavilly (Porsche philosophy seems to be to sell every option individually) it actually looks pretty awesome. You can basically get every part wrapped in leather with double stitching and other parts converted to aluminum. The leathers offered are also great (like cocoa).

The problem is that you won't ever see that car on the road because nobody orders all those tiny options, they add up too quickly $$$$$

My pops got every option but navi and that track timer clock on his, and its decent, but for how much it costs the TT blows its interior away...Now dont get me wrong, its a nice interior and the leather is freakin' top notch, and i gave then stereo a better listen today..Its not as bad as I thought, but then again ive only had my stock 'yota stereo to listen to for the last 6 months

i actually JUST got back from driving said cayman out to bragg creek and back...jesus what a fun car....buyout isnt that bad..only a couple years away!
