Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage
Lamborghini will take advantage of the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s celebration of automotive performance by debuting the new Aventador Miura Homage there. The special model will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lambo’s V12 super car reaching the market. The company will build just 50 of these more stylish vehicles, and over half of them already have deposits, the automaker reports.
Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization studio handles adding the Miura-inspired touches to the Aventador. Customers can pick from colors that would look perfect on the classic supercar, like Rosso Arancio Miura red, Verde Scandal green, and Blu Tahiti blue. Contrasting trim along the sides adds an extra visual flourish, and the wheels come in gold or silver. Metallic Miura badges near the rear wheels also tell crowds that these vehicles are something special. Inside, buyers pick from Nero Ade black or Terra Emilia brown leather, and carbon fiber trim is standard.
The Miura Homage’s vintage touches look fantastic on the Aventador’s modern lines, but these examples don’t get any extra performance in addition to the upgraded style. Power still comes from a 6.5-liter V12 with 700 horsepower and 509 pound-feet. However, the original Miura could never reach this Lambo’s top speed of 217 miles per hour or its sprint to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
