Italian automaker ATS has unveiled the 2500 GT supercar ahead of its official premiere today during the Top Marques in Monte Carlo.
The renewed brand shows its first model since 1962 that features a “classic and modern” styling, a “sporty and retro” interior and technical solutions “worthy of a race car.”
The 2500 GT is a two-seat sports car with a distinctive design and an athletic silhouette. It rides on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with integrated rollcage with honeycomb panels and carbon exterior panels. Independent rear and front suspension and aluminum underbody panels complete the body.
Power is provided by a V8 naturally aspirated engine with more than 640 PS (47 kW) at 10,000 rpm. The unit is mated to either a manual or sequential 6-speed gearboxes that send power to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential.
The producer claims the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration takes only 2.9 seconds, while top speed is more than 340 km/h (211 mph).
