Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa By Zagato
Italian coach builder Zagato has unveiled the new TZ3 Corsa at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este taking place this weekend in Cernobbio, Italy.
The TZ3 Corsa is a race car built to celebrate the 90 years of collaboration between Zagato and Italian carmaker Alfa Romeo. The model was commissioned by German Alfa Romeo Zagato collector Martin Kapp while attending an event honoring Zagato - the Zandvoort Tribute.
We've previously reported on the details of the undercarriage - a mono shell tubular chassis made of carbon fiber. But now full details on the car are available.
The TZ3 Corsa is a two-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar with a mid-front mounted engine. It is light, with a handmade aluminum body, and weighs in at only 850 kg (1874 lbs) - marking it as a true racer. Under the bonnet is a 4.2 liter V8 with 420 PS (309 kW / 414 bhp) with manually adjustable engine calibration. The car is fitted with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
Riding on 18-inch wheels, with 245/645/R18 Pirelli PZero tires at the front and 285/645/R18 at the rear, the TZ3 Corsa does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of over 300 km/h.
