The Dino has been the most rumored on again off again car of the last couple years, with Ferrari coming out and saying it was a no go and the next day a test mule for it spotted.
I hope they actually go for it as a 'cheap' Ferrari would be nice to see and I think there is a huge market for it, just depends how exclusive they want to stay. Not sure on that rendering though...
Blair Former Cars: '12 Fiat 500, '10 VW GTI, '05 Smart Fortwo, '96 VW Jetta GLX, '02 VW GTI 337.........
I think I watched a show that displayed the 25 biggest "disasters" from car builders and I think the the original Dino was one of them, I can't remember why exactly but it was a poor seller for them and had a bunch of other quirks.
well i think it was because the car wasnt a ferrari at all, in the sense that it was not the usual fast, V12 exotic car built in small numbers. this was a mass produced 'affordable' sports car. the original was a 2.0 V6 producing 180hp.
it's also pretty ugly!
Latest Road & Track speculates it will have the F430's V8 (the first front engine non-V12 Ferrari in a while) and that Ferrari will not name it the Dino due to negative connotations of cheapness and crappinesss.
But Road & Track also reported the Supra was coming back for sure. And we all know how that went....
