  • Castagna Aznom

Ever heard of Castagna? Me either. But apparently they are famous for modifying Mini Coopers; and they also happen to be coach builders. But these guys decided they wanted to build a supercar. So in true coach building tradition, they took the chassis of another car (the Corvette Z06) and laid there own body on top.

The body is made out of carbon fiber. It features voluptuous curves as wheel arches, Ferrari 599/Nissan 350z style head lights, vintage Corvette grill, and various scoops and vents placed throughout the body. The carbon fiber body should help bring the overall weight of the vehicle down to about 3,080 lbs.

It will be using the LS7, and with some tuning is expected to turn out 700 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque. This should help propel the Aznom to a top speed of 218 mph, 3.4 seconds to 62 mph, and 9.5 seconds to 124 mph.

Interesting, but I don't think I like it.

Looks like they just slapped together a bunch of features from other cars that they liked.
