  • E30 esperts =)

Yallo doods, I am considering my first BMW, an 86 325E. I know the usual things being timing belt and general items. Is the 2.7 a decent motor, or is this a dud model to stay away from (kinda like some passats and audi's )

Money Pit or solid fun car?

    Gonna look at it tonite.

the 325e is the "economy" version. If I am correct it only puts out 120hp... pretty weak for a 2.7L I6.

    Present
    2010 Audi A4 S-Line
    2007 VW GTI 2.0T

    Past
    2003 VW Jetta GLI

    1984 VW Rabbit GTI

I've heard head gaskets can be troublesome. I wonder how hard they are to lower?

replacing springs is pretty easy. That'll get you lower.
I never had a problem with any headgaskets on my old M20 before i replaced it.

I owned the car for two years and only had to replace fuel pump.
          great cars, IMO.
Whether you can or you cant,
          you are right!
