Seems wierd that the TT is also called an MK like the jetta/ golf platform... but the car is hot!

MK isn't a name.... It's just a designation. It distinguishes different generations - much like the mki, mkii, mkiii and mkiv supra's.

i beleive it simply stands for 'make' but i could be wrong

sometimes they go off chassis type too

IE A4 chassis was the mk4..

i dunno i'm confused now

Oh I know, Im just saying when I think MK2 Im going to think Gti not TT. Im just suprised that Volkswagen/ Audi would denote MK to 2 different cars of theirs.
