  • Winter Rims

Since this is the most Audi action this site has seen in a while I thoguht I would keep it going.

What is everybody running for winter rims? I just put on my stock 15"'s and I dont remember them being so ugly but I am almost tramitized by their ugliness.

Was thinking maybe some cheap 17" flik justice in the Hyperblack.

Also anybody know any good places to find a S4/RS4 bumper? Got my side skirts just need a front.

      Re: Winter Rims

Stock Avus 17's with Kuhmo KW19 winters for me...

RSS, my brother-in-law has the exact same car as you (except in yellow) and he just bought some used Celebration rims and put Nexen Euro Winters on them...if you're worried about how they look, this might be the way to go.

Oh, and cheap 17" winters DON'T exist...I found this out a couple weeks ago. Bob gave me a good deal, but I was still shocked by how much winter rubber can cost...

My dad rocks 17" winters on his TT, has Avant Garde Six spokes with Toyo Winter Proxes, works well I think it was about $2,200 a few years back now.

I like having the Smart, with my winter tires costing $400

Problem with OEM RS4 front is the bending it to fit the narrow A4.

            !

I HAD to get 17" winter tires to fit my damn brakes this year.. so I found a set of used Avus with tires for $750! Certainly much better then my steelies.. but look too damn much like an S4 though!

I priced out the OEM RS4 bumper form Simon, and the bumper itself wasnt bad, just the $1k or so it would cost to get it to fit properly... AFAIK it was 800cdn for the bumper, then the grills were couple hundred more.. headlight washer covers a bit more.. came to a bit cheaper then the US stores. I think I posted on AW about it a while back... search if interested. Labour is what kills ya! (hence me going with the Uberhaus RSR.. I installed it in my garage!)

Anyone else planning on going to the Winter driving school?? Forget the actual date, but in Jan, $175 for the day and you have to have a ANCA membership (another 50 I think?) The dealership and ANCA site have the details...

I was sort of mad when I found out the 03 A6 came with the 2 pad calipers, up until 03 they had the S4 brakes. I was mad until I bolted my 16" A4 winter wheels on with no brake clearance issues

Studded KW19 is the way to go.
