Manufactured in USA, so no Duty, just GST. Hansen transport will bring it to my door, so no trips to the border.

Yup, done all the research. The store where I bought it from has sold tonnes of cars to CDN's and will actually do all the paper work for me. As for the shipping, Hansen Transport picks up the car, takes care of business at the border and basically drops the car at my door.

Actually hangin on to the Murano. We'll see how things go, planning on driving it for a 6 mths to a year then maybe selling it for hopefully what I bought it for. I'm paying about 10K less then what it's going for here.

lol funny you say that alex.. i was on a walk yesterday and this guy in the ridge was hauling like a 25ft trailer with his hummer H2 then he had a another trailer in the middle of 2 quads!! 1mpg!

Bringing a car in from the US is way too simple, just meet Hansen at customs on time and bring a credit card.


When I was clearing the A6 I got the new girl, "hmm well I can't find the list so if it's not on it today is your lucky day" Why didn't get and RS6

I've often wondered if it would be possible to "sneak" an R32 into Canada by getting friendly with the customs person - or get an inexperienced one who can't find "the list."

Once you get it passed customs it should be easy to get it insured as a regular Golf, right?

yea chris.. or an RS6!! or something crazy way cheaper buying online it seems.. plus that dealer volinder just got this from the showroom has exotics in it and thier feedback is good

I'm a strong believer that if your gonna buy from the net, be sure to buy from a reputable dealer. I don't have the balls to buy privately.

I'm assuming you guys saw that the dealer I bought mine from has a R32

Did you have to pay the 6.1% duty on your car???? Was your experience with Hansen good then???
