i still have to buy my component speakers which I will do over winter when I install the stereo properly instead of into a ghetto box lol

That pile is almost as big as mine. Those amps are huge!



Subs aren't in the pic because they were in the car, this was a major upgrade. Couple of cables for the amp link aren't in there either.

And the install:



Amps are mounted on a custom rack I made, covered in leather (not vinyl). I took out the cargo tie downs and screwed the rack down to the threaded inserts. Cut the floor just behind the rack so the floor looks solid but I can still get at the spare in a pinch. Just need to get a custom sub box done so I can chuck the pre-fab.

sweet man! i'm going to buy a ghetto azz 2x10" box this weekend and just set it up so i can get some thump for the rest of the summer when i park my car this fall myself and stonewall (brent) are doing a total custom install with fibreglass/paint/neon/etc in a false floor cuz i need to be able to carry my golf clubs hahaha

When I did my install, I looked all over for a sealed and partitioned box (2 sealed compartments). I wasn't able to find one quickly so I put a partition in my existing box. I'm pretty sure I saw a sealed partitioned box at Canadian Tire in Dalhousie last week, didn't see the price though.

I started my false floor..... and then more or less stopped, school started and I have run into some design “problems”…. Next weekend I am back at it as school is finally done!

Sometimes I wonder. My lights still dim a bit at idle in traffic on hard bass, but overall I think it does the job. Grounding kit might help too.

Also I think it has kept me from blowing fuses. I can monitor the current draw from my amps on my head unit (thank you Amplink). I have 2x 350W monoblocks and 1x 300W 4 channel. Biggest current draw I have seen from ONE of the monoblocks is over 30A. There are 3 amps that should be pulling that. Got a 60A fuse and it has not blown yet.

They are marked WAY up though (as most accessories are). Retail on mine (Stinger Comp Chrome (I think) 1 farad) was $200. The sales guy SHOWED me cost on it is $100, so he sold it to me for $120 (he's gotta make some money off it). Might be able to get that kind of price out of the US.
