Please do not feel that way we would welcome you into the club in a heartbeat. We are also working on a plan to revamp our club and make it broader so that people such as you will no longer feel that way. We do have a vareity in the club and we would love to have you out to a meet but it is up to you!

What he said! Also, I've been in this club a couple years and never owned a MK4!

First car in the club - 1991 Corrado G60
Second car in the club - 1981 Scirocco (Piece of CRAP)
Third (and present) car in the club - 1996 Golf

I was always welcomed, and I even went on cruises in my 81 with chunks of paint flying off my car So trust me, I think you'd be fine!

BTW, thanks for speaking up about the sticker thing.

i would consider joining if there was a revamp that included changing the name. as i would not want someone that knows nothing about the club looking at a sticker on my car saying "that car isn't new". the last thing i would want is to have to explain to the average person "no really, it is a sticker for a club that accepts all vws, even old ones." explaining would make me feel as though i was less appreciated as a member(if that makes any sence). if it said "hotveedub.com" "justveedub.com or something i would feel better about displaying it.

strictly my oppinions though.

i will keep checking back to see what happens with this revamp that you guys are talking about. who knows maybe i will get to know you all at a meet in the future.

Just out of curiosity, what about a name that started with Euro? Would that be inviting to you?

your name should come from your members, not from some guy like me. i've already run a club or two incalgary, and know that every one has to love the name to support it on their car.

that isn't our case, a majority hate the name but still spor the stickers in this club.
