That's bull if you ask me. Quick question.... Did the valet park your car? Did that give you the opportunity to see the sign? If he parked your car, and didn't tell you about the sign.... you could probably prove that you didn't know.
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

The problem is, basically suing the hotel will cost more than the insurance deductable.. if you're insured there isn't much point. This is Manitoba insurance too so its not shitty like it is here... they just cover you when something happens, you don't have the insurance company trying to stick it to you.

we parked our cars ourselves because the valet asked us if we would because he didnt feel too easy about parking 4 slammed show cars. he walked us down there and showed us to our spots though, so we parked our own cars. deductable is only $200 so im not worried too much.

and yah, as kor said, this is manitoba public insurance, they're an awesome company to deal with and i came out way ahead when my stereo got stolen last year and I hope to be ok this time around as well. i dont mind paying $200 deductable as long as they redo my interior.

True enough.... I forgot mantiboa insurance is really good. I guess I was just used to Alberta insurnance where you have to fight for anything.

On special for 25 quid per 1m by 1.35m square, it is foam backed as well so maybe about $55-60. The regular price is 40 quid a metre.
