    Re: my gizzolf

I don't think it would be so much of an interior problem as it would be repalcing the wirring harness (rusted connections) and also all the airbag side impact sensors as well as possibly the airbag and control unit (major $$)

If it was submerged that deeply, then yeah that stuff may write it off...

Not sure what you can do about it, I hope all your money and hard work aren't wasted.

          Re: my gizzolf

there's a big greasy water line about 2 feet high on my car but the hotel manager said the water peaked at 33 inches. got the car flatbetted to the dealership this afternoon, had to take off the front bumper, as it was too low for even a flatbed.

its at the dealership now and I told them to not even look at the interior as I'm still stuck in winnipeg with no way to get home. So they're gonna make sure the engine works and then I'll get re-adjusted when I get back to brandon. Interior is still soaking wet so we'll see what happens. I dont think the water was high enough to wreck the seats though, only the carpeting.

Oh, and pictures.. well our chase car got broken into parked in the street and they stole our tools and camera's and cd's and stuff. but we found someone elses camera to take pics with, and we got some video of my car being flatbedded. so gimme a week or so for pics.

              damn! That sucks! :(

Make sure to check your brakes too -- a buddy of mine hydrolocked his engine last fall, and aside from the engine being cooked, his interior filled with a good 6" of water too. All carpets and seats were replaced, but the brakes rusted/siezed up from sitting in the shop (not dried off properly) for a week!

here are some pics. the water peaked at 33" but then sat at 20something" for about 6 hours and thus developed water lines all around the car, here are pics of the car right now with th ewater stains. ill post the 'action' pics in a few days.

we're "assuming" it was rain water. it still stinks like something awful though.

So what has the hotel said or done about this whole issue? What are your options going forward?
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

Actually thats pretty accurate. Since it rained all night and the power went out in the entire hotel they provided us a continental breakfast till about 12pm (brunch I guess). Then they said they're evacuating the hotel because at that point we had had no power/water for over 12 hours. We only booked the one night stay, but we told them to give us a free night at a sister hotel so they did.

But they're not going to pay the deductable because their sign on the parkade says they're not liable for any damage that may occur down there.

If i were in your shoes Id party like a fucking rock star in their sister hotel, turn the place upside down, steal as many towels / soaps / pillows to get your deductable's worth haha
