it was actually taken from a mk4 jetta rubstrip/bumper that they had sitting at the back of the shop from a past project. he just cut it out in the shape using the bumper lights as a stencil and plasticwelded it in.

Nice! that would make the weld a lot stronger by using the same material.
I was tinkering with the idea of stripping the side signals like you and making the bumper markers into the signal/running lights.

I think the best part of this is that there was no....

                a) "What do you guys think?" threads
                b) Here's what i'm going to do sometime between now and 2008 Thread

You just went and did it (insert thumbsup icon)

Everyone asks for opinions now and again but I like when people just do it.

Not only did he just do it, but he went and did it ALL at once. Do it once and do it right, thats something to admire.

thanks for the comments guys, it will make me feel warm after i eat kraft dinner every day for a year to pay off my visa bill.

                    day 4 updates

these were lunch time only pics, didnt go after work.

screwed the bumper to the rieger piece and sanded then filled in with their rubber adhesive stuff. then sand and repeat.

filled in the notch on the front bumper incase i ever want to go to a 1 or 2 bar front grill so i dont have that groove there.

the rest of the front bumper finished and sanded down. just have to smooth out the new area's before paint.

front end was sanded today in preperation for painting. notice the hood is actually up, so boser will sit lower.
