  • New 2006 Jettas MK5

Have you seen the new Jetta's yet? I went to a showing at the local dealership here WOW are they nice.

tHe lights have little VW written on them, the side mirrors have the side signals there. The seats fold flat on the passenger side so you can Lumber in if you want. You have to see this car!

When I get my golf paid off and and can afford a new Jetta I'm going to get one.

A modded one would look so cool.

The dealership here in Courtenay had three cars sold when I was in there. a Silver Golf, a new Jetta Wagon, Beige, a 06 Jetta beige.

I actually saw my first MK5 Jetta on the road in Calgary yesterday, and then my second about half an hour later. I'm still undecided on how I feel about them. From some angles they're beautiful, from others they're pretty bland. I do like that chrome in the front, which is weird since I'm usually disgusted by chrome accents on cars.

Sometime over the next month or so I've got to find time to go test drive one, that should make up my mind for me.

I saw a couple on the road over the weekend and they look very nice in dark colours. They are growing on me and seem to have very nice potential, I cannot wait to see a modded one, I hope someone gets one rolling soon!

I only see the first and 3rd pic. The first one looks sweet and has an Audi look on the front with the chrome and the big grill. The 3rd looks like a Saab to me. Kind of odd but the both look wicked and the rims on both are damn nice.

I think Ryan needs to sell his MK4 and build a MK5 up in Record time. He'd be a Vortex hero.

Oh, and BTW Ryan, forgot to tell you, those new wheels of yours look awesome, much better in person.

They're OK . . . kind of Altima-ish. They look great when they're dressed up, but the stock config is just plain bland. Can't wait to try to 2.0T when we get that. I don't like the chrome goatee on the front end or the Fisher Price interior (especially the steering wheel).

I agree, The stock config looks too mundane and bland - a total grocery getter, but the pics of the suped up ones look much better. They are nice cars (with some work).
