one thing to note.. it doesn't release heat as good being polished but its been recorded that its 5C difference so big deal..

i think i might take the throttle body off too and polish that, its only got 4 screws hold it on

I assume you have to take the manifold off to get that level of polish?

Seems like a good time to sandblast out the runners and put in a powergasket!

no we are lazy and you do it on the car and just cover stuff up with rags,etc and keep a vacuum or dustbuster nearby and suck the crap up every few minutes

actually simon thats the plan too is the remove the TB and polish it and get the manifold runners this winter.. should make for some fun times when its cold and i have nothing to do.. oh and check the TB for carbon build up and maybe fix the dippy idle.. although its not that bad anymore

No prob. with the mani, I had fun doing it! and I have a few more to do for the das volks show for other people. Ginch has asked me to do his S/C 98 GTI VR6s manifold aswell.

Yeah Vince the mani got a huge amount of attention at the show, your time and effort was well worth it, thanks again. However dont do anyone elses so I can have an edge at shows
