I wanted an old skool look for my Golf, but that's a little TOO old skool!! I think it looks cool though, it would stand out at shows thats for sure.

The white wall steelies look is coming back with the cali / rat stylz look that is hot in the west coast at the moment. That car has also rolled on 3 different sets of wheels in the last few months, but is a prime example of west coast MK4 style!!

Well, I guess the owner doesn't like it as much as you guys do

He's in the new issue of PVW and he ditched the whitewalls and surfer look for a more contemporary set of 19" chromes.

Which wheels cuz I saw the PVW with him on Rial Daytona Races, which he then switched to custom Rial 5 spoke with color matched centers and big lips, then he went to the steelies, but who knows what he is on now.

i've seen this car on vwvortex a bunch of times and it's easily my favorite tdi. so nice, especially with the rials. he posts as mr.golf.

i think the rials were first (of the last three), then the white walls and now this: (which looks tacky/over-done, in my opinion)
