Just looking for some info on the q7. Anywhere from 2009-2014 is what I’ll probably buy. Needs to be a 7 seater not sure if all of them are. Any info on engines would be nice, v6, v8, 3.0t, or the diesel. Which is the one to buy??

Forgot to mention that I will need to fit 3 car seats across the middle row. 6,3,and 1 year old.

I really didn't like the rear row access. If you had two big teathered car seats in second row, access to back row would be a drag. I wish more guys had a 2-2-2 option with captain chairs in middle row for easier access to the back. With the 3 a cross the middle, I think you could do it if you had an ultra compact booster seat in the middle, with no arm rests. Keep in mind that the car seat latches are not intended to have one clip supporting 2 seats, so two teathered side by side is usually not possible. Stay away from the air suspension option. $4k to replace the compressor. Ours was great otherwise.Comment

Ya it will be used for 3rd row in a pinch. Does booster require latching?? The one we have does but do they have to?? I read that the 17 or 18 and up have the 3 car seat patches on the middle row. Is there latches in the rear row??
The easier solution would be to buy a atlas but I don’t like them at all. I’d rather just get a odyssey.Comment

Boosters don't usually have latches. I was thinking more if you crammed two big seats side by side, it may not work. I never had any boosters with latches... And this year I have no car seats at all any more! Yay!

No car seats is along way away for us. Congrats on that. She’s the one that I found the newer q7 has 3 latches, I’ll look at your link too.Comment
