  • B7 S4 Piggie Pipes

    Hi all,

I'm new to Eurodrivers.ca but I have driven Audis for about 15 years. I currently have a B7 S4 6SPD which is completely stock except for suspension and rims (Doesn't count in my book hehe).

I want to gut my precats and make piggie pipes. I've read every single forum/diy on the net and I totally understand how to get the job done. My main hesitation is that I do not want to get a CEL light after.

It seems that installing O2 spacers/foulers on the rear O2s is the solution but can anyone attest to this working for them? Each thread talks about this however there is always a few that say they still got CEL afterwards?

    Please give me some feedback!

PS - Where is the best place to get the O2 spacers in Calgary? Straight tube, 90 degree, J-Style??

I got mine for my B5 S4 on eBay, but before installing them I got a new Stage 2 tune for Heidi and had it coded out at the same time.

I know of a few people that have run them and yeah, it's hit and miss on them working.

We actually just did this on a B7 S4 last week, gutted the cats & installed a Magnaflow. We did a Stage 2 Revo to turn down the sensitivity on the secondary sensors as well as 1 straight and one J sensor spacer.

I have not heard anything back regarding the light coming on for a cat fault.

Thanks for the help, I had a shop gut the precats for me and found the O2 spacers, the J-style, at Mopac $45 a piece. Car runs strong with a noticeable gain in sound and accel.
