  • Looking to borrow an 18mm Strut Nut Socket.

Does anyone have an 18mm socket with the notch for removing strut nuts? I've got the 22mm one for older Audi's but my S5 takes an 18mm. Tried Canadian Tire and Princess Auto but had no luck.

If anyone has one they can lend me for a couple days I'd be very grateful.

    Thanks
    Dave

To remove the nut you can use an impact wrench, just don't use it to put the nut back on.

Looks like the MK4 uses the same one that I already have (21mm). Looks like I'll have to make my own.

        Thanks anyway.

Ya, I used the impact gun to get it off but now I need to put it back together.

Thanks Colin, of course I needed one on a Sunday... I ended up making my own with a grinder but It's good to know you've got them for the future.
