The highly-anticipated BMW M4 GTS is coming one step closer to relatively as the model was recently spotted in the U.S. dealership ordering system.

While the image obtained by Bimmer Post doesn't reveal much, it apparently confirms the high-performance coupe will be offered in the United States.

While that's not much to go on, the M4 GTS will have an aerodynamic body kit and a number of carbon fiber components. The car is also rumored to have laser headlights and OLED taillights.

Under the hood, we can expect an upgraded 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine. Performance specifications remain unconfirmed but previous reports have suggested it could produce up to 500 PS (368 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.

Besides being more powerful, the M4 GTS is expected to weigh as much as 220 lbs (100 kg) less than the standard M4 Coupe. As part of the weight saving measures the rear seat will be eliminated and the traditional front seats will likely be replaced by lightweight carbon fiber seats.

Haha, hilarious how the bottom of the front bumper and rear wing is camouflaged.

      Looks nice though.

BMW has officially unveiled the highly-anticipated M4 GTS concept, ahead of its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Designed to preview the production model, the M4 GTS concept features a Frozen Dark Grey Metallic exterior with Acid Orange accents. The car also has a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic hood and wider air intakes which optimize "airflow and minimizes front axle lift." Other highlights include a carbon fiber front splitter, a carbon fiber rear wing, OLED taillights and 19- / 20-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine has been equipped with a water injection system which promises to increase power and torque. As BMW explains, "The water is injected into the plenums of the intake manifold as a fine spray. When the water vaporizes, the intake air cools significantly. As a result, the final compression temperature in the combustion chamber – and therefore the engine’s tendency to 'knock' – is reduced, enabling the turbocharged engine to use higher boost pressure and earlier injection timing."

Speaking of keeping things cool, the M4 GTS concept has a main radiator as well as additional radiators for the for the high- and low-temperature circuits, transmission and turbocharger. The latter also has an indirect intercooler which is assisted by an additional electric water pump.

BMW was coy on additional information but confirmed several of the technologies are "destined to make their series production debut in a new model to be unveiled at a later date."

Second doesn't fit the car at all. Maybe should have gone with a high lip spoiler or something.

That wing is well balanced with the front splitter. Run either both or neither, i think it would look off with only one of them.
              I think it's a good looking car

But that entire car is crazy aggressive so it works a bit better, this one they kind of just put a big wing on the back Fast & Furious stylez. I think a large trunk spoiler like the E46 CSL might have worked better, but this makes me think I would rather just have a regular M4.

                            Car is official now:

BMW has officially unveiled the M4 GTS ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Described as an "exclusive technological showpiece which elevates the potential of the BMW M4 Coupe to another impressive new level," the M4 GTS features an aggressive aerodynamic body kit that includes an adjustable front splitter, a new hood and an adjustable rear wing carbon fiber rear wing which has CNC-machined aluminum mounts which are connected to the car's carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) trunk lid. The special edition also features a carbon fiber diffuser, a titanium exhaust system and exclusive M light-alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Last but not least, there's LED headlights and OLED taillights - a first for a production vehicle.

The interior echoes the standard M4 but it features an Alcantara-wrapped sport steering wheel and carbon-fiber bucket seats (M sports seats in North America) which are upholstered in exclusive Alcantara/Merino leather. Elsewhere, there's three-point seat belts, a lightweight centre console and revised door trim with pull loops that replace the door handles. The rear seat has also been removed and replaced by a glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) shelf and a rear panel which are both covered in Alcantara.

Customers will also be able to order a Clubsport Package which adds an Acid Orange roll bar, a six-point harness and a fire extinguisher.
Power is provided by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine which has been equipped with water injection technology. It enables the mill to produce 500 PS (368 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) which enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 305 km/h (189.5 mph). BMW also revealed the M4 GTS managed to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in an impressive 7.28 minutes.

Speaking of performance, the car also features carbon ceramic brakes and an adjustable M coilover suspension.

Production will be limited to 700 units but there's no word on pricing.

I like the car, but I am not feeling the wheels. They just don't go with the modern lines, if BMW went back and put a CSL style lip spoiler and the CSL style mesh wheels on it, it would look much better.
