Needs a new engine... 27k from audi. Or like 6-7k used from tune dub. Anyone know if some other audi shops that are good?

Haha i'd be 100% down... but I live in a CONDO! I've got no room to do the swap my self:(

I sure hope you got this car at a good price. Did the seller say anything about the car using oil? Have you talked to the seller at all?

I got the car for pretty decent price I guess, if the engine wasn't pooched haha... The only thing the seller told me is that it was idling rough so he changed out 4 coil packs than it started running smooth again. He also stated that he just did an oil change a month ago. The day after I told him it needed a new engine, because of this post and all your guys help. His reply was "I've been driving the car since winter with out a problem man. leave it. you regret doing the deal. That's how it goes". I sent him a text again letting him now that it is going to cost 28k from audi to change the engine. But no reply. I was told to get in contact with AM VIC, I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

If you're going to do the swap, I'd go through George at TuneDub...he found an engine for our W8 and said up front if the engine was ****...he'd send the car to auction... He was up front about the risk and it ended up being a great engine minus a sensor!

Not sure how contacting the seller would help at all in this case. Used cars are sold as is unless your write up some sort of conditions. Sucks but that's how it is.

Was this the silver B6 S4 in Edmonton that was previously owned by Kurt (Kurtakadirt) and then Dom (PolishPrince?). I remember seeing it on kijiji not too long ago. If this is the same car it had a fairly high end stereo upgrade and at one point it had HRE wheels and a sticker that said 'Pug City Euroworks' or something like that on the door.

I would take my car to tunedub over Glenmore audi any day.
Even if you were getting a brand new crate motor I'd still have the work done by George and his boys.
Sucks that this happened to you man. I always wanted a 4.2 but will never ever buy one because of things like this being so common.

I called them on Friday. they're going to look into it for me. I want them to do the work on the car because of all of the positive feedback I've herd over this fourm! Any Idea if we get any discount threw them??
