Re: Audi A4 B9 Speculative Render
New engine:
Following yesterday’s announcement, Audi has taken the wraps off their new 2.0-liter TFSI engine at the Vienna Motor Symposium.
Billed as being the "most efficient two-liter gasoline engine in its class" the motor has a maximum output of 190 PS (140 kW) and generates 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. It has a 1,984cc displacement and offers the torque in the 1,450 to 4,400 rpm range which they say will provide accessible power at all times.
It will make its debut in the next generation A4 (B9) due late this year and will enable the compact sedan consume less than 5 liters / 100 km (47 mpg US or 56.5 mpg UK). It weighs approximately 140 kg (308 lbs) and benefits from several fuel-saving technologies enabling a shorter intake time while the time necessary for the engine to warm up has been reduced as well.
