s4 b5 loss of power

    s4 b5 loss of power

    Hey everyone, new to the site. Anyways so my car is basically stock except for Frankenturbos, upgraded clutch, mounts, divertor valves, full exhaust, 550 injectors. While flooring it, It seems like I only get a good pull sometimes. And other times while flooring it I'll be pulling hard but once I get past about 4500-5500 rpm I get a power loss. I just replaced my plugs and the problem is still there.
    any ideas? I think it could be a boost leak? not entirely sure.

    Check for codes...do a boost leak test. Do you have a boost gauge? What's it reading? Could me coil packs too or a bad icm. What intercooler are you running? Could be heat soak too I guess. Hope this helps. There is more then a few of us with experience with this car.

      Also...

      Is your car tuned for k04s?

      Stock ignition system or 2.0tfsi style?

      Are your injectors and fuel pump flowing as expected? New (ish) fuel filter?

      How is your coolant temp sensor reading for Ohms with a multimeter hooked up?

        why not just log the car and see what its doing?? i would hope the car is tuned for the current setup

          No I haven't scanned for codes yet, I need to get a scanner. I have a boost gauge but I haven't installed it yet. Im a rookie when it comes to this car. a lot to learn haha.
          The car is stock other than the recent upgrades I did.
          - New upgrades include new turbos( frankenturbo) installed all necessary upgraded piping and gaskets,
          - New fuel injectors 550cc,
          - Installed lighten flywheel and spec clutch set.
          - Full 3" exhaust( downpipes are now. Piggie pipes)
          - New engine mounts,
          - Installed new timing belt kit( includes water pump)
          - New diverter valves from 034motorsport.
          - Received my tune from epic tuning group ( stage 3F (330-360whp/360-400wtq) is designed to work on a vehicle with a Frankenturbo).

            You need to get vagcom and see what's up or find somebody in Cgy to help you. Also install boost gauge and see what's going on there too. Josh fom Epic should also be able to help you on his end with logs. He was great to me when I had my b5 s4.

              What intake are you running and what size is it? What fuel pump are you running? Those power numbers look a little low for a josh tune and a full stage 3. I can scan your car if you come to the coffee meet tomorrow morning.

              Epic not longer exists, so i am not sure what support anybody will get for their tunes. Josh Bailed on Jfonz and banded together to make Epic Tuning Group and now that is gone and I think he is working for Solo Motor Sports.

                Jfonz gone and epic gone now too...Wtf. guess it's time to climb out from under my rock lol.

                  I just got the stage 3f tune, so its a little less power than the stage 3+ tune. Its a stock intake/fuel pump.
                  That would be awesome man, Where and when is the meet tomorrow?

                    Stock maf housing or did you upgrade to 85mm +?.
