HELP: BMW Won't Start

Hey guys, my e21 BMW with a 1.8L m10 engine stopped working two days ago.
Here's the history with the car, I put in a new fuel pump with new fuse and ignition switch the car ran, starts up great in cold but wouldn't start properly when it's hot, but eventually it will start. I put new spark plugs in and the hot start problem went away. Two days ago, I the hot start problem came back, and the car stalled while it's going 50kmh, we got it start it back up then limped it home, then it stalled again in front of my driveway, and now it will not start up at all.
I am a complete noob with this car, I did some research on the problem but still have no idea, can the mechanical gurus provide some insight please? The car is about to be finished and I can't stop now

Does the m10 have a cold start valve? Maybe flooding the engine when its warm.

Some things that are common on the Audi 5 cylinder with a hot start issue is the crank and cam position sensors, as well as the fuel pump (which you recently replaced) and fuel pressure regulator.

Looks like the exact same symptom, except my temp gauge doesn't work and I could not find a coolant temp connector!

Should be able to. I have a scanner for the older bmws

Yeah not 100% sure about the 320 m10 but the e30's had a spot to scan if you had a tool.

I replaced the coolant temp sensor, jumped the fuel relay, and it still wouldn't start. Compression seems good too. I am really confused now, timing? Ignition? Ecu? That's all I could think of now..

Did you check to see if it had the scanner hookup?

For a car to need it needs to have spark, air and fuel.

Can hear pump running when jumped?

Spark at plugs? And coil?

I couldn't find a scanning port
I can hear the pump run when it's jumped
I'll test the spark right now

Update: found problem, I'm getting no spark, replacing distributor rotor and cap since they're cheap hoping it will fix the problem so I can get rid of this thing and get my new car!

Put a new rotor and cap in today and the car started up in three cranks after sitting for a month! Hot start issue is fixed with a coolant temp sensor too!
