Whistle on a turbo car, to me, would usually mean some sort of boost leak.
I can't do a heck of a lot with 0 tools ( I used to use my Dad's garage, as I live in a Condo) and no free time. I can throw parts and hope (educated guesses). It's all I got right now. Between the passing of my father, finals, work and no car... Life is not easy right now.

It is pretty easy to check a DV, remove it, push the diaphragm or piston up, seal the top vacuum port with your finger and release your hold on the diaphragm to see if it comes all the way back down or not. I can come over with some basic tools and give you a hand if you want, just let me know what tools to bring.

Already pulled the front one. Trying to blow through it as other suggested yielded that it should be functional. The rear one is hard to get with my intakes on. I may try again in the interest of saving money.

Been in your situation. Best is to take the plunge and rent a space where you can take the car apart for a few months, you'e going to need that if it's more than just a small thing - or take it to a garage and have them do the work.

Otherwise you'll end up with a car sitting around while you try to figure things out. Unless you don't mind letting the car sit while you slowly work on it and have another vehicle to drive in the meantime.

You make it sound like I blew my turbos... I doubt it's gonna be down for months. More like... A few days.

If it's more then just a small thing I'll have it towed to my friends garage that I usually use, but I doubt it.

Me and Terry pulled the diverters and cp, re installed and it was fixed... loose piping I guess.

We also found the rear left exhaust "silencer" vacuum flapper was failing and causing a weird wooshing sound. Disconnecting it solved it and made the car louder haha.
