  • Climate control issues

So the other day i had to leave the b5 outside for the night. Fired her up in the morning and moved it back into the shop to defreeze. It was about -25 to -28 out over night.
When i fired it up normal cold hard start, air was on full blast, i went to turn it down and it wouldn't work. I then let the car defrost for 4 hours in my heated shop, then warmed her up properly, i then drove it 45 minutes, during which still no response from the buttons.
All the buttons prior and during, push perfectly fine, not a matter of sticky buttons but simply won't respond.
Each button has it individual light and they wont light up either.

    Auto
    front and rear defrost
    up
    down
    temp
    fan
etc -If i hold the rear defrost button the light will come on but not sure if it actually turns on.

All can be pushed in but will have no action associated with them.
So heat is on full blast and can't be changed. I have checked fuses and they are all good unless i missed one.

Seems maybe a connection came loose on startup or a solder came undone in the cold. not sure

Sorry for the vague description. Couldn't find much help on the web and searches. so any input is appreciated.

Sometimes my buttons didnt respond and others sticked. If that still doesnt work then need to rebuild or get a new unit as it seems that there would be an internal issue
