    Re: Look what rolled in.

I see you can build these on the Audi website now. 1.8T (FWD only) starts at $31,100 and the 2.0T (Quattro only) at $35,900.

I really like the look but an optioned up S-line is getting scary close to 50k. At those prices you are in the same in A5 S-line territory and very close to a base S4, which both are available with a stir it yourself 6 speeds. I hate to think what the S or RS versions will come in at.

        I can't believe the price....

I built a A3 (not even an S3!) for 50K and before tax or dealership fees. Say 2.5K in taxes and 2.5k in fees.... 55ish?

Last year I almost bought a completely loaded new A4 Avant S-Line with everything - in the dealership with a quote in my hands, for around 55.

Golf R has same quattro, may even have the better interior, much faster, nicer wheels, sporty body kit, bigger brakes? For 15K less?

And of course a GTI is a steal under 35K all-in. I dunno for 55K I would expect a 300hp S3 and it better be damn nice.

Blogs are saying the S3 Sedan will be in the $39's in the US... well optioned under 45 so... wtf.

Last year i bought a new silver A4 with the S-Line package. Now to you or i we can see the difference right away but to most it looks exactly like the one in the picture. Mine came to $49k. As with most Audi's it looks "good, attractive, handsome, conservative, etc etc ". You get my point.

Were the s3 prices released? I don't love the F16 thrusters looking like heat vents in the a3's - never got that.

I went and looked at 2 of them today. They do look pretty nice but for the money I dont think I would buy one.

I was at the Audi event tonight, i think this car will sell well and do a lot for the Audi brand - but i left feeling a tad underwhelmed. Sales person i spoke with was saying fully loaded S3 would be $55+ pre tax.
