Abs and rear diff lock issue on urs4

I was swapping around some switches on the dash today ( heated seats, defroster, ect) and then I looked up and noticed the abs light is on and there is no light on diff lock switch. I'm not too sure what happen but I did notice some of the switches were in the wrong connectors so I put them in the right slot. The CEL is now off which is weird cause it was on before for a small issue.

I checked the fuse to abs and it's fine. Is there something behind the dash I may have hit that would have fucked it up.

Any assistance would be great cause I've left the console in peices until I figure it out.

Thought about it a bit since you called...

1. Try going for a rip and see if the ABS still works, it might just be a light that's on.

2. Check your codes again anyways, the MIL may have just gone off in your dash but still has the codes stored.

3. I'm no wiring expert but the first place I'd start is with the diagrams online (quattroworld, s2forum, 20v.org etc) and see what's all connected to what. Then (like I said before) grab your trusty ol' multimeter and see where you have continuity and don't.

Regarding the diff lock, have you checked to see if it's still operating? If it's not, there are only two things likely to go wrong: a vacuum leak somewhere or a rogue electrical connection.

Abs is a no go, just locks up. As for diff lock...I can't tell. Honestly seems like it's locked

sound s like the vacuum to the diff as it should unlock itself above 30kph.

I'm leaning towards the switch. Car works fine with the diff switch un hooked

Fuse # 14 was blown. Fixed problem. Man do I feel dumb.
