wife is coming home from work.. at a light and hears a popping noise from the front end

driver side arnott gen3 airbag blew a line/something.. car sunk right down and she limped home in bouncy mode.. i turned the key on and the pump fills it a bit but doesn't rise then you can hear air coming out from the thing

have to book it into george or caw next week

    oh fun winter

oh the whole front end is super low which makes me wonder if the main airline popped.. i'll have jack it up to see hard part is its hard to jack that car up without being on air suspension

The bag could have popped off the seat, its kind of a pain to get back together without a lift but can be done. Could be a line as well too, hard to say for sure.

I wouldn't drive it with the bags bottomed out, you are asking for trouble
I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

yea.. i don't plan on it unless i have to drive to CAW or TD to get it going again of course.

okay well the car is almost impossible to diagnose the suspension without a proper lift because if you lift up a corner it should be in jackmode but if you turn jackmode off and turn the power on the pump won't go on because the suspension knows its out of wack
so i had to put the wheel back on and jack it down and then turn the wheel each way and sprayed a ton of soapy water and used a light to try and find it.. i couldn't see the leak or bubbles but its coming from the lower rubber boot area of the airbag so not sure what is wrong but thats where its leaking

going to do some research and call arnott tomorrow if i can get a new airbag

                  https://www.arnottindustries.com/par...24_gid529.html

if you check the link there the rubber boot part is where the air is leaking.. perhaps the inner body cracked or something

You can always use my drive on lift, but it's pretty far south to drive on the bump stops.

A way to fix it is to put the tire repair gel in the airbag if there is a leak from the bag itself

I cannot imagine the mess that this would cause on the inside of that bag and the potential of damaging the strut seals.... If any got sucked back down the line into the valves.

I would never recommend this, if you've cleaned that stuff out of a tire/off the inside of a wheel, you know why.

I work for VW and one of our techs did some research and did that on his all road and it worked perfectly. Just sharing the idea

i think the lower aluminum body of the bag cracked or something.. should be able to get a warrantied one shipped out by end of week.. called arnott but can't get anything until after new years..

if i drove it down to a shop could i replace the bumpstops too? me thinks airdrie-calgary TOW is like 300 bucks :/

Bumpstops are internal in the bilsteins.
