Jesus no fair. I drive the Henday most days and the best I can muster is 11. Add in a fresh snowfall that drops to 13 real fast.2007 A3 3.2vr | S-line | Quattro | Brilliant Black Sold

Re: The Fast and the Frugal 7.6
Ya this is ridiculously good mileage. I have been tightening up everything on the car chasing down a slow boosting issue. Ryan ( mantis, D.S.) has tweaked my tune helping me while I figured out the slow boost ( I have narrowed it down to a wast gate not closing completely) I have been watching AFRs and EG temps and everything is right where it should be. Car runs great, quick etc just a little slower that it should be because it is slow to reach requested boost. I am now spaying W/M down starting at 5 lbs of boost just to make sure that if there is an issue temps are managed. There are no codes no fuel trim issues. The only thing that has been done is tweaks to the tune wizardry that Ryan has done like putting back in the EGs, and other tweaks to make the tune a bit safer. The mileage really went down after I replace the two green check valves and installed my Crankcase vent system.
I will do a long log session of part throttle cruising around town to see what is up by that I mean to give that data to Ryan ( mantis, D.S.) . Till then I will just enjoy only having to fill up once a month

Re: The Fast and the Frugal 7.6
Hold up, I've got a fair amount of seat time in tip-top stg3 cars summer and winter, and have barely seen 54L last 750km on the highway. That's with 94 octane from Chevron even. Usually with mild city driving on Shell 91oct I see ~ 9-10L/100km.
Are you just getting this straight off the DIS, or actually calculating observed mileage using the amount of litres you pump to refill and the trip odometer reading?Find me on Instagram @pry4sno

Re: The Fast and the Frugal 7.6
I miss my Gti... managed 830km on 54L that little 1.8T did alright with the stuff that was done to it.
The 3.2 is thirsty, I remember coming back from Miami with it I was averaging 20mpg... but was averaging 100mph across most states as well. haha2007 A3 3.2vr | S-line | Quattro | Brilliant Black Sold
