  • Audi TT 2.7T B5 RS

Never heard of this until now. Looks pretty cool to me, and definitely the only way I'd get into a MK1 TT.

i just noticed after a second look because the engine bay is small they routed the air intake to the back by the firewall.. man thats a dream car there! that thing would be super fast

That is awesome! Should try to swap a 2.7T in a mk4! This MK3 is also one of the rarest cars from VW group http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=25718

I have to go through my pics still, but I will tell you all I saw this TT in person last week as Bart and I hit up the Quattro Gmbh 30th Anniversary display. A full history of RS cars there and every new RS car currently for sale in the showroom too!!

A few of my pics of this car, it did look pretty stock/production except the rain train looked a little roughly put together.

Yeah I noticed that too Blair in the pictures, the rain tray and the rear spoiler thing, the quality is just so below my expectations.

Rain tray looks rough because that is where the MAF and air intake is stuffed into and remember this was a test car not a show car.

exactly follow the intake and it goes back there.. you probably have to pull the motor to change the plugs LOL.. but man oh man i'd buy this car in a heartbeat! After seeing this i'd almost be tempted to buy a mk1 TT and 2.7T it.. hell a chipped 2.7T in a TT would pull like a monster.

I would be curious what it would take to spin the engine the 90 deg to make the swap.

From the pictures it looks like a modified tunnel to fit the transmission, look at how there is a step up to the shifter and the lack of the little tray.

did any of you guys read it? it's on a rs4 chassis, sectioned. so there was no need to turn it 90*.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3
