And finally gearbox broke, Probably main shaft.
It was narrow 1st gear.

When someone brought up the guy above in his thread talking about going 9.41, Aaron (aka speeding-g60) noted:

"Mati Pold already went faster than 9.31 the same day. he went 9.25."

That is a fast run but IMO if you can't do them all day long (e.g. things are breaking) then... well not worth all the work...

Breaking stuff, from parts to records, is part of the process. If you can't pay... don't play!

Guys like Janis K. (fasterthenrs2), Javad (JShadzi), Aaron (speeding-g60), Hank Iroz (shavedquattro) and plenty of others have lunched 016, 01A, and 01E transmissions all day long finding their respective limits. Word is an 01E (Audi's strongest transmission) is good for about 600 #ft from the factory... short of a custom Riccardo or ZF transmission or a PAR dog box I don't see much else to do besides refurb and replace!
